Sweet Resistance ( Ritual Nº1)

Melt as offering • A slow unbuilding of the state into joy & nourishment.

Sweet Resistance ( Ritual Nº1)

Location: 26 Federal Plaza, New York, New York.

Sweet Resistance is a public ritual disguised as a vendor cart activation, an altar in motion, carried into the street instead of the museum.

The works uses ice, organic fruit syrup, and offering to invert the logic of extraction: instead of bodies being consumed by the state, nourishment is returned to the people. Melting becomes testimony, a slow visible record of care. Nothing is sold. The gift is the portal.

The ritual is part of an ongoing series in which vendors become carriers of ceremony and street commerce a site of return.
